Emergency telephone services are an important mission for us. It’s precisely in extreme situations where no connection can be made via conventional mobile phone networks that it is necessary to have a reliable communications solution. In these cases, we offer our customers satellite telephony. The data/telephone connections are made wirelessly from the satellite phone via a satellite. A station back on Earth receives the calls forwarded from the satellite and directs them into the public telephone network. Satellite telephony can therefore be used where other communications solutions are not possible.
